Terms and Conditions for Cake Decorating Classes

All classes held by Red Velvet Bakery are subject to the following terms and conditions. Nothing contained within these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1.   Booking and Payments

• Full payment is required within 7 days of a booking confirming, unless otherwise stated.
• If payment is not received, your place in a class will automatically be cancelled.
• Payment plans can be agreed at the time of booking. If payments default, then your place in a class will automatically be cancelled and monies received will not be refunded unless your place in a class can be re-sold.

 2.   Cancellations

• Cancellations by customers for group classes will result in any payments received not being refunded. If Red Velvet Bakery are unable to re-sell your place in a group class, monies received will be returned, minus a £15 admin fee.
• If classes are cancelled by Red Velvet Bakery due to low numbers or illness, all monies received will be refunded or transferred to a new group class date.

 3.  Liability

• All classes held by Red Velvet Bakery take place in a working kitchen.
• Whilst every effort is made to ensure all areas are safe and free from clutter, attendees are asked to exercise care and caution when moving around the kitchen areas.
• Class attendees are requested to be mindful of other attendees and are requested to be polite and courteous at all times. Rudeness or violence will not be tolerated and the offending individual will be asked to leave. No refunds of monies paid will be given if this occurs.
• Any injuries sustained whilst on site should be reported to Red Velvet Bakery immediately.
• Please inform Red Velvet Bakery at the time of booking of any food allergies or intolerances you may have.
• We have security cameras on site at Red Velvet Bakery, located in the kitchen and office areas, alongside a recording Ring doorbell. These cameras are in place solely for safety reasons and any recordings are never shared with anyone, unless required during any disputes over behaviour.

 4.   General

• All classes are for a maximum of of 6 people unless otherwise agreed.
• All equipment required for your class will be provided by and is the property of Red Velvet Bakery.
• Minimum age restriction is 14 years due to our insurance policy.
• As all classes take place in a working kitchen, attendees are requested to ensure their clothing and footwear are clean when entering Red Velvet Bakery. Those attendees with long hair are asked that it is tied back before arriving for your class.
• Attendees are more than welcome to take notes, photographs or videos during classes for their own personal use and are asked to be mindful of other attendees. Any videos taken should be not uploaded onto any social media sites and if this occurs, Red Velvet Bakery will request they are removed immediately.
• Red Velvet Bakery will use reasonable care and skill in performing the Services.
• Nothing in these Terms will exclude or limit liability for death or serious injury caused by Red Velvet Bakery’s negligence.
• These Terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions.

However, you will only be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time you book your class with us. If you change your class date for any reason, you will be sent the most up to date terms and conditions with your new booking form and these will supersede any previously sent to you.

By paying your booking fee, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions so please read them carefully.
