Terms & Conditions
Delivery:-

 

  • We are happy to deliver cakes within a 10 mile radius of DE3 9EB and the price agreed will cover the cost of delivery, unless otherwise agreed.  Only one delivery will be attempted.  Further attempts at delivery due to no one being at home, unable to gain access, or no payment available etc will be subject to a further £10 charge.  Deliveries over 10 mile radius will incur a small charge, based on order and distance.

 

  • Please make sure that you provide the correct delivery address and postcode for your venue prior to delivery.  This will help ensure your cakes arrives safely.  If you request that we leave cakes somewhere or with someone on your behalf, this is entirely your responsibility.  We will not be liable if they do not arrive with your cake safely after we have handed it over and/or set it up.​

 

  • We cannot be held responsible for any damage to your cake after we have delivered them to you or your venue.  For weddings cakes, a photograph will be taken of the finished cake/display on delivery.  We would never recommend moving the display once it has been set up so please ensure the venue is aware that the cake table must be ready in advance of our arrival.

 

 

Booking and Payment for Orders:-

 

  • To secure your booking we will always ask for a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total order value for celebration cakes and 25% for wedding cakes.  Your date is not secure until we have received those cleared funds.  For weddings, you may also secure your date for a a deposit of £50 with the remaining deposit due when we meet for your wedding consultation.  The balance of the cost of your order is due 2 weeks prior to your event for wedding cakes and upon delivery or collection for celebration cakes.

 

  • We will produce your cakes/display exactly as detailed on your booking confirmation.  Please check this very carefully when we send it to you to ensure no detail has been missed and notify us immediately should there be any amendments to be made to your order.

  • By paying your deposit, you are confirming that what is detailed on that form is exactly what you want us to provide.

 

  • Payments can be made by PayPal, bank transfer or cash.  Please advise which payment method you will be using.  Please note for celebration cakes where the balance is due on delivery, bank transfer or PayPal must have been received and funds cleared before the cake is delivered.

 

 

Refunds:-

 

  • Refunds will only be given on return of any cake or tier baked by us so that we may have proof of any issues.  If the cake or tier is not returned then no refunds will be given.  Photographs will not be accepted.

 

Illness:-

 

  • Due to the nature of our business we must operate within Environmental Health guidelines.  These state that if we, or anyone in our immediate household falls ill with a sickness type virus, we are not permitted to bake goods for sale until 48 hrs after the last illness.  This is because there is a possibility we may inadvertently pass the virus to you or your guests through the cake.  Should we be unwell and there is not sufficient time to complete your order before the event date we will refund any monies paid to us in full and attempt to find another local baker on your behalf.

  • All text, images and content of our Facebook or Instagram pages are subject to copyright and may not be used or reproduced elsewhere without our permission.

 

  • We cannot be held responsible for the comments of external users posted to our linked sites, including (but not limited to) our Facebook page or Instagram profiles.

 

 

General:-

 

  • We reserve the right to alter these conditions at any time.
